Is it normal for a game that settles after 5 innings to not pay on a run line bet?

Ok so I was under the impression any straight bet on a game ala -1.5 would pay if the game went over 5 innings. St. Louis went to 6 and then was called and I didn't get paid on the bet because the book is claiming the rules are the same as a total on a run line bet??? THat seems so fucked to me that I did something harder than a money line win in 6 innings and they call the bet no action because it was called at 6 not 8.5.. That's fucking retarded.. Maybe on a dog I could understand..

Is this normal or is my book just the gayest on the fucking planet? What's the rule in Vegas?

If the game doesn't go all the way they cancel the runline and the game totals.

If you have the money line they should give you the credit but for everything else they don't.

Happened to me, too, with St. Louis last night. Of course, if the game were going in the opposite direction you would be thankful.

This is the Rule at Every Book.

This, taken from Betonline.com

BASEBALL RULES

1. Moneyline wagers are considered official after five complete innings or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is winning. Therefore, if a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called.

All run line and total (over/under) wagers the game must go nine innings (8 1/2 if the home team is winning) to have action. The listed pitchers must also start to have action.

Baseball wagers will be accepted in the following manner:

Action: Wager on Team vs Team regardless of starting pitchers.
Team vs. Pitcher or Pitcher vs Team: Wager on or against one specified pitcher. The specified pitcher must start (throw one pitch) to have action.

Listed Pitchers: Both specified pitchers must start and throw at least one pitch to have action. All wagers on total runs scored and pointspreads (runlines) are always listed pitcher wagers.

In event of pitching change, all moneyline ACTION wagers will be adjusted to opening price or odds with the new starting pitcher(s) and the original risk (stake) amount will not change. All listed wagers will be deemed "NO ACTION" in the event of a pitching change.

First Five Inning Baseball Lines:
Run line and totals are always listed for the first five innings. All wagers on baseball first halves (five innings) will be decided on the basis of the score at the end of five full innings. If a game does not go the five full innings, all first-half wagers will be cancelled.
