Appreciate the compliment but I wouldn't go that far. Have been really buckling down however like never before and I am currently confident at this time.

Well, okay then, compared to what I'm able to do, you are tearing it up and I think you are doing great. I'd trade my stats for yours any day.

Getting pumped for football season!@):)

what you think of the tigers tonight?

This is a tough game to cap. Obviously the Tigers are looking to sweep and widen the lead on the Sox but I'm not really enamoured with rookie Rick Porcello. He was given 16 days off between starts from 7/5 to 7/16 and still gave up 9 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 HR (15 for the year), 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in 5 innings pitched. Meanwhile Clayton Richards comes off pitching 8 innings, yielding 1 run, 4 hits, striking out 7 with 2 walks on 116 pitches at home against Tampa Bay. The teams he has faced are almost all the weaker teams of the AL. He did pitch earlier in the year against the Tigers lasting only 4.2 innings, yielding 3 runs on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts and 5 walks while throwing 100 pitches. I don't think either of these pitchers will go much more then 5 innings tonight.

It appears I have a chance for a 6-0 sweep today depending on the outcome of the Marlin/Dodger game. I will put the question to the forum. Should I post a play for tonight's Chicago/Detroit game?

Sunday Night for OLDMAN TED....on a Sunday Sweep......nice meal, cold beer, and an enjoyable game with no money on it.

Congrats!

:):) Uh, you're going to be 6-0 and you ask that question? Here are the odds on that answer:

Yes: -1250
No: +1100

Having said that, I am curious to know what you think. I like the Sox tonight, but I think I'm in the minority with that viewpoint.

YES, i'm on the White Sox already only because of the 'sweep' factor but if you like them i will increase my wager. If not i'll just stay where i am, thanks.

i'll take NO at +1100 easy

ted you had a great day today. now the forum knows you are 6-0(pending florida). if this game wasn't on your radar to begin with i would take the money and run and offer just an opinion. cause lord knows how many idiots would be crying how much you suck if they followed a rated play and it lost.

great job today ted.

I was being to think I was the only person on here who sees the value in 'sweep avoidance' plays. They've done very well for me so far this year, and also in years past. 3-1 so far today with the White Sox pending...

Edit: 3-2 with the M's loss. My bad.
