Huge Wager on Detroit????

I'm in Vegas for a conference this week....just went to the casino to place a wager on the game tonight.......some kid (looked like he was 20) placed a $15,000 bet on the Tigers run line on the game tonight.

Wow.......I guess he was a runner for someone???

That means nothing (as to the outcome of the game) ... just some bored rich dude placing a wager to have some action on the TV game tonight. I've seen guys lose that kind of money and show ZERO emotion ...

Or maybe he thinks since the Tigers have scored 15 runs in their last five games that they are due for more than 3 runs tonight!! :laugh:

i remember reading a thread last year about someone being in vegas and when they went to make a bet two guys in front of him made a 30 and 50 thousand dollar bet on two college basketball games. needless to say both teams lost straight up.

thats total bullshit, cause you can't just bet 20k in vegas. fact is, it's hard to find a casino that will take a 5k bet. you have to be well established to place a big wager and it's not done in front of the public. i used to work in the industry. nobody just goes to vegas and lays down a big wager despite all the bs you hear. big wagers come from big people or through big people and there pre-arranged. not like a horse track where you run in and drop 20k right before the game.

Isnt it something like you turn it into a runner, the runner turns into their runner, runner runner, whoever runs the further is the winner towards the end (vegas?)
