This is my first time on the eve of earning one (amount of $500), for I've finally added a book to my stable that does them. After wrapping my mind around it for about 10-15, I've realized Bonus Plays are only half as good as straight up free cash bonuses.

If you play them like normal cash in your roll, they only help you out if you lose. If I used the $500 on 2 winning wagers, my roll would be the same regardless if I had used the freeplay or not, but my freeplay account would be depleted. (+$500).

The only real value in freeplays is protection from losses, with a gain of nothing to you for winning wagers.

So, would it make sense perhaps to put the freeplay on a heavy plus money dog, completely outside of my normal system picks, and try to shoot for the moon risk free?

Or perhaps place it all on a big money line fave like a -200+ML , and just bank an easier ~$250 off it and call it a day?

Most books wont let you play parlays with freeplay money, if you can, do it. If not, you want to maximize the win side of your bet and minimize the risk, in other words bet on dogs. There isn't much sense risking $100 freeplay to win $10 on a heavy favorite, but the other way around does make sense.

The book lets me do parlays. I can recover ~75% of my freeplay balance if I want by doing 3team parlay and betting every outcome.
