Those going to the bash at the G. Nugget

My hubby Bigtex is going to the bash. He tells me that the guys are not taking the wives or girlfriends. I find that hard to believe. I know he will be busy saturday morning with the holdem tournament and he is also playing 3 slot tournaments that the golden nugget is having that weekend form friday thru sunday but i can play the slot tournaments too. I just don't know how to play holdem.

I would like to hear from some posters that are taking their gf/wives along with them. It is his birthday on sunday and i would like to spend it with him and celebrate it with him starting on saturday night at midnight.

If you can chime in and let me know that there will be some ladies attending thee events i am sure that i can convince him to take me. That way i can have some bubbly champagne at midnight for his birthday.

This is usually code for "I dont want you to come".

PS..Lots of wives and girlfriends do attend but the event is really guys thing..My wife is bugging me to come but I have no time for her once we get there as I have to work a little (well maybe more than just a little).

We've had wives attend the Bash before. It's a nice addition to the sausage fest to see the ladies all dressed up amongst the degenerates in their t-shirts and jeans (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Husbands and wives visit Vegas all the time. However, I'm sure the ladies would enjoy going shopping. There are plenty of places to do that in Vegas. I'm sure they would enjoy gambling as well while their husbands partied with their men friends.

Mrs. Bigtex, maybe you can start a thread here that would organize all the wives for a shopping outing on Saturday. Then maybe Wilheim's wife would have someone to hang out with.

IMO Vegas is not meant for wives/gf or families. It's because of all those guys who gave in and brought the wife that Vegas now has more broadway shows than strip clubs, more baby strollers than hookers, more carnival rides than massage parlors, more slot machines than cars, and more floor space devoted to shopping malls than casino action.

celebrate his bday on monday when he gets back. he just wants to hang out with the guys. i have never been to a bash but im willing to bet not to many wives or girlfriends go along.

Thank you Wil and all those that replied. I have come to a compromise. The Mrs. will go with me but I can stay till Wednesday and she will play in the three tourneys that are being held during the same weekend that I will be there but I will be on my own and free to do as I please on any day but My Birthday on Sunday. I can live with that. Dante, you are the only one that I recall from the first bash at the Golden Nugget also. These Bashes have come along wayyyyyyyy!

I look forward to seeing all of you weekend and I hope everyone has a safe trip. Viejo don't forget to give me a couple of winners that weekend. :103631605

Im not bringing my wife, but I did bring her to prior bash. Its tough to get as much socialization in as you want, as well as harder for me to gamble if she is there.

And I worry about her going loose on the slots!!!!

Im flying to Paris with her right after the bash tho, so hopefully that makes up for some.
