Because it looks sweet. And is a fun summer car. And because I also am getting a 99 Rodeo with 110K miles for the outdoorsy stuff. And because my credit is too full of old school loans to get approved for something new. And because I'm just kinda tired of my Integra.

Not too shabby.....from my experience nissans usually run pretty long IF taken care of. I would def take it for a ride and bring someone that knows what they are talking about.

Ah....i remember the time when cars that resemble the likes of prop cars from Fast & Furious 90's style were cool looking.

Would much rather have this thing than something like a Jetta or Accord. Or a minivan.

I'm thinking of buying a new car in the near future.

A friend lives in Utah and is fleet manager at a Nissan dealer and will give me a dummy type offer sheet I can float around and dare local dealers to match.

But my mechanic said not to buy a Nissan, his recommendation was a VW TDI.

Any way any one LOVE their Nissan?

For what it's worth, my ex girlfriends dad is a platinum mechanic for Toyota/Lexus... He says Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Accord are easily at the top of the car game. Said that most American stuff is not worth buying at all right now. He also said Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Hyundai, Subaru, and even Isuzu and Kia are still very reliable cars. At least more so then what we are producing at home.

Oh yeah, he also said Nissan/Infiniti are currently a really upper-tier automaker. Right behind Honda and Toyota. He didn't really mention older cars like the one I'm looking at though since he was talking about new stuff in the last 5-8 years.

I drive an 07 Maxima SE and love it, best car that I have owned. Plenty of room (I am 6'5"), plenty of zip, quiet, nice trunk space, sporty looking. Only complaint is I wish it got better gas mileage (getting about 22 per mile) and the tires aren't cheap (245/45/R18, Z rated), but I guess if I wanted cheap tires I should have bought a corolla. Have had 0 problems with it.

Of The Top 4 Foreign Cars The Nissan Altima

IMO has the best lines & is the best looking. But, if you want reliability and LONG life I'd go w/Camry, Accord, or Jetta. All more pricey than the Nissan. MY Camry had 200+k and still was trouble free. Also had an Accord, same thing. But I would not hesitate to get into the Nisan. Great looking and just a tad below the top 3 listed. If you qualify for the "Gas Guzzler" rebate. you can get into a NEW Camry in the TC area for less than 15K!:103631605 As far as this car I'd follow Gravey's advice, get the $$ down, get a Carfax, and have someone you trust drive it.
