Seems like half the board lost big last night betting the favs. And then today tried to chase and make it all back on the Phils - seeing a div leader playing a last place team and getting better than -200 odds and the eyes light up.

Yea, it's still early in Arizona, but having to seriously sweat out the rest of this game is lesson enough. I've been trying to warn people all day that the Nationals are .600+ when facing a home sweep, but I'm too lazy to check Zona's record. Prob similar and a big reason why odds so seemingly skewed today. If it was more to what the public expected, smart money would probably have hammered the books today.

I've learned the hard way wiping out my roll 2 or 3 times chasing my losses on ML favs. Never seen ~$5g disappear that fast in my life, until I did it again, and one more time. My roll is back now and holding steady. I used to get so pissed after a losing day. I expected to be up every day and it killed me.

Let's all remember to keep disciplined and not give in to the temptation of pounding a fav ML line trying to score the easy win.

The only way there can be winners, theres gotta be losers. Egos will always keep sports wagering a functioning business. In other words, nobody wants to hear about money management. They have their own answers. I think trial and error is the only way to learn...such is life!

I never pound that is the only reason I lost a small fraction of my bankroll yesterday even with a horrible day. I learned how to manage my bankroll the hard way, I never risk more than 2.5% of my BR on plays. Its usually around 1.25% of my bankroll that is risked on each play each day which gives me around 40-80 units to work with.

Well said ds..

I have been capping games for about 3-4 years now started when I was 17, back then I didn't care about money management I just bet games. When ever I lose I would get very upset. Got my bankroll empty about 3 times by betting too much, chasing, playing poker and roulette.

It just seem like I was wasting my money I didn't even had a plan which helped in me losing money fast..

Now I know the importance of money management Also work with a realistic plan on where I want to be over a season, not chasing or putting too much of my bankroll at risk. I have also learned that greedy and impatient cappers often don't win. Patience is key to gambling in all form.

To be sucessfull discipline is key follow your plan, practice good money management, don't chase and so on. I could continue all night but let me stop now.

Bol everyone...
