Was offered a nice gun in a trade. Anyway, the only reason I was thinking about it was because the gun is worth more than the cash offers I'm getting. I don't have any sort of license for a gun though... it's a shotgun. How would I go about selling this sucker and just flipping it for quick cash?

Not saying I own a Gun....But you are talking about a ShotGun, no Big Deal..Most likely in your Area of the woods.

You need to go to a Gun Show. Those Guys Buy and Sell anything :103631605

I dont know of any thing u need...but i dont know Idaho law either.. look on graigslist, newspaper classifieds,etc...are they selling guns on there? then yours should be ok as well.

You may need to ck the law though......i know in some states they have or are passing laws making the gun show sales, etc subject to the 3 day waiting period ,etc...

You May Not Need A License

In most States only required for handguns. Id. & a shotgun I'd doubt it.

I know in most states you only need to transfer titles of a gun if it is a handgun or a semi. Ive bought shotguns off people with out any transfers.

Buy the gun and use it to rob the local Olive Garden...then you can afford to attend the BASH...

One of these days I'll actually make it there. Been paying $40/month for the last 5 months and haven't been once.

I've never heard of that, at least not here in Texas. You can buy or trade a handgun in a personal transaction with anyone you like. Of course doing so may mean you are buying a stolen gun.

Like texansfan stated, I don't know of any restrictions on the trade of legal guns between law-abiding individuals. Gun is just a piece of property. It's only new (hand) guns that have some paperwork involved from the dealer.

Be careful you don't get a hot gun or one that has been around the block or you might end up in trouble. If you are not sure about the gun, ask the seller if it's okay to run the gun by your local sheriff prior to transfer.

One more thing, you are paying way too much for that membership.

Correct. I have run guns many times through an ATF check and it will give you who originally bought the gun. It will also list any transaction from say something like a pawn shop.

Again though, You can buy, trade or sell a handgun to just about anyone out there. I once traded a .357 for a nice set of golf clubs...

The membership is for me and my old roommate. He had overdrafted his bank account and was just paying me in cash every month. Then he moved away and keeps telling me he'll pay me back. Not looking good.
