What's Up With The Seemingly One-Timers?

I'm referring to those players or bettors who seemingly post a play or two on the forum, which are solid winners, and then we rarely see their name appear again.
Actually I've spotted quite a few newbies or rarities on board like this but as I say, they seem to post one thread, maybe two, which are solid winners and then it's a lengthy space between threads.

Now the following is one I caught just the other day and I don't seem to recall seeing his name before and if I did, I can't recall. Maybe some of you have or know the gentleman but in any case he certainly posted a solid pair of winners, using the same game.
This makes me think the gentleman either has a solid system or certainly knows his mlb and picks his spots. He didn't elaborate much other than to say edge in bullpens to Arizona. The fellow simply posted these two nice big plays/winners.

As I said, I don't recall seeing Willye's name before but the D-backs as you can see above were golden in this particular case and on this particular night in shutting out the Phillies 4-0 as bigtime puppies. The fact of the matter is because the fellow, Willye, is rarely seen, it's difficult to judge his knowledge in posting these two big doggie plays. I mean does the guy post periodically but when he does, he's solid for example?

Willye, if you happen to read this thread, are you a regular on the mlb forum and regarding your two winners (Arizona) above, was there something special that you saw in the Diamondbacks that night, maybe a particular tendency or solid trend, that guided you toward them for example?
Now I myself have rarely seen your name or thread for that matter on the forum, so do you pick your spots between games and when you find a gem like the one you posted above, is that the manner in which you have been posting on the forum?
Do you happen to have or keep a record of your plays which you are able to share?

Great pair of winners by the way.

One day of winners doesn't mean much. There are plenty of people (like 3-4) here that have long proven winning record over multiple seasons. What else do you really need.

Both you fellows are missing the point entirely but that's just the way it is with some I suppose.

Alright, to clarify on willeye, that game Zona/Phils game was after a day when a bunch of favs went down and alot of people on this board lost a chunk of their rolls and tried to get it back the next day, seeing Phils at just -140 against a last place team. Lots of people on this board went huge on the Phils. Anyone earlier in that day who tried to make a peep as to why Zona may even remotely be a good play was ridiculed.

He was taunting them all through the ingame thread. I think at one point he stated he had Zona ML, Zona alt RL -1.5, Zona first 5, Under, etc. I think he just posted that to shoot for the moon so he could heckle all the Philly backers in the ingame as their @ssholes were puckering.

Hey that's what I was looking for ds123. I wasn't aware of that nonsense. So basically this Willye guy is simply another capper, one who rarely posts, but also one who caught a spot and lucked out. I guess you have to give the guy some credit for picking up on this point and taking the chance. Anyway thanks for clearing it up for me.

i posted a record of 7-1-0 no one gave a damn, so i stopped

Why would you stop posting? I mean if you're that good, your record will sooner or later attract attention I would think.

He posts in the Horse Racing forum. My sense is that is more of his interest.

I noticed, and made a mental note to myself, "this guy has the eye"
Just because one doesn't post his thoughts, doesn't mean one doesn't notice.

Sometimes when the boards are busy, one doesn't have the time to post 'nice job'.

There was a guy here a few weeks ago posting great picks every day. Lexus was his name and he never came back.

And sometimes, readers don't go past the first page and threads get buried. I refuse to bump my own thread :think2:

Ditto.
If you read my play of the day, terrific, but if it gets buried in page 3 2 hours later, so be it.

First off let me clarify this im not really on the baseball board as much now as i was in years past because it has become so cluttered with garbage, i was however that nite and posted my play and was laughed at people said that i came in the ingame thread and it's easy to pick the winner when the other team is up 2-0, i never once said i had zona first 5 under etc, i just posted my plays zona ml zona alt rl, and when people started talking shit yes i did respond stupidly and played their game, but if you look at that thread you will see even in the beginning i stated the games a long way from over... now thats out of the way

#2 thanks for noticing ivan, also i've been on this board for years, ted's got me beat, and i would like ted's opinion on this if he reads the post it just seems that the baseball board is cluttered with crap, people already calling their game a loss after the first inning, people using reverse jinx, i find it pathetic but if it brings more people to the rx i guess its good in a way

#3 ill make and effort to post my plays more on here i play everyday, i can tell you there are some great cappers on here bucsfan consistent, oldman ted i always known ted as the runline guy it seemed as you would always just make your picks in the tracker forum ted, i thought journey was pretty good whether he was liked or disliked, venom hasnt been on the forum long but boy is he as solid as they come, gabbana "spell check that name", cant forget tomorrow's newspaper solid as they come, and so many more

#4 just a brief reason why i liked zona in that spot, #1 i have mlb network get to see everygame, in the first 2 games of that series zona played philly very well, they just could not get the key hits, in the second game a foul ball called fair was crucial to the outcome, so we had the phillies a pick em basically the first game, second game hamels vs haren a pick em, they were the two spots i thought they had the best value, then you had this game phillies -160 on the road rookie on the mound who has been playing very well, i just saw the value in zona i saw the game as a 50/50 game so ill take +159 i play at matchbook and the alt rl for some also, will i hit all of them absolutely not but that one i did

sorry for run on sentences, ebonics, etc lol gl guys(<)<
