British Columbia at Hamilton (+1.5, 50)
British Columbia (1-3 SU & ATS) backers are praying history repeats itself, since the last time the Lions started this meekly, they played for the Grey Cup in 2004. Subtract the Lions one solid offensive outing against Edmonton and this club is averaging just over 20 points per game. Starter Buck Pierce or backup Jarious Jackson has to play better if B.C. is to improve upon 6-0 ATS record in road games after one or more consecutive straight up losses.
Hamilton (2-2, 3-1 ATS) saw its brief two game winning snapped by Montreal last week. Head coach Marcel Bellefeuille has chosen Quinton Porter as starting signal caller, largely because the Tiger-Cats ranked second in total offense with 379.5 yards, but are seventh in points scored at 20.2 per contest. The Ti-Cats are 9-4-1 ATS on Friday’s.
British Columbia is road favorite and is 6-20 ATS after scoring 14 points or less last game. The Lions lost to Hamilton three weeks ago, ending a nine-game (5-4 ATS) winning streak over the Tiger-Cats. Watch the total carefully, with UNDER 8-2 in last 10 meetings.
