Gonna try get in some write-ups.

A second look here is huge. David Hernandez doesn't have savviness or dominating stuff to blow by this hot Redsox team when they just seen him a week ago. Bosox weren't fooled by him only two stuck out they were just missing, getting under ball which shows in the stats 16 fly balls. He hasn't gone 6 innings at home. Hernandez pitch count has been high fives straight games with over 103 (3 with 110+), his fly ball rate is too much for his numbers to be sustainable. This is a bad spot for the pitcher to get hit hard.

Beckett did get hit last month by the O's in this same ball park. He is one of the best pitchers in the game i'm expecting adjustments and to pitch a fine game. The better and a reliable bullpen to close this one out.

Nice lines. The market is saying that this is a +EV card. Best of luck.

you mentioned he had not gone 6 innings at home. His home starts were 1 and 3 at home as a rookie. His last 4 road starts he went 6 or more. By the way have you looked at how Beckett has been pitching or how Baltimore has hit him the last 3 times he has faced them. You are distorting the facts here. No idea what will happen but certainly playing Baltimore.

I dislike the BoSox today because the line is very heavy and Beckett isn't the same pitcher on the road. At home he's dominate, but on the road not so much. Boston's offense hasn't been too good lately with the exception of the past 2-3 games but that can obviously change in an instant with their stellar line-up. I think the juice is way too high on this one to have much value. Goodluck with your plays.

I don't know. I feel like Boston has found their mojo since their slump starting after the all-stars break.

That might be. Also a post above interests me. Martinez the catcher. Could Beckett have been having trouble with his previous catcher?

Josh Beckett notched his AL-leading 12th win Monday, finishing with three earned runs allowed on eight hits, one walk and 10 strikeouts over seven innings vs. the A's.
Beckett has made such outings habitual in recent weeks. With this one, he improved to 7-0 with a 2.58 ERA in 10 home starts this season. In his past 15 starts overall, he is 9-2 with a 2.33 ERA. Combine all that with outstanding run support from the Red Sox lineup, and you're looking at a Cy Young contender . His next outing comes Aug. 1 in Baltimore.

Point is we have the superior pitcher. While the another who is playing over his heads and has been getting away with his very high fly ball rate. This is a ideal spot for him (that you don't see often in baseball so it hard for oddmakers to set the line i'm going to take advantage of it) to get rocked and his true numbers to start to fall in place. The home stat is to show he has struggled at home, i didn't put too much stock in it but it is what it is. I don't feel i need Beckett to pitch a gem a quality start is good enough. The advantage with the bullpen and hotter, better team at the plate makes me see value. It was a rushed write-up, just clearly some things up.
