Man, I am REALLY getting sick of losing games this way. The team you bet on has one big inning, then they just mail it in the rest of the game. A week or so ago the Jays blew an 8-run lead with only 4 innings to go against the Rays. Last night the Brewers scored 7 in the 2nd against the Pads, then let the Pads outscore them 10-0 the rest of the game.

Now tonight, it's the Cubs turn. 6 in the 2nd, but it now looks like the offense is done for the night. And of course the pitching is horrendous, allowing Florida to get back in it and take all the momentum. It's only a matter of time before the Marlins tie it, and once they do that the game is over. Unbelievable.

:):) As soon as I get done typing that the Marlins score another, and it's now 6-5. Wow. Not only will Florida win this, they will probably win by 3 or 4 runs. I'll guess they win 9-6, because I can't possibly see the Cubs scoring again now that they've quit.

Good God, how many heartless teams can the NL Central possibly have???

Im on the cubs rl, hopefully they don't blow it.

Sorry man, your bet is cooked. I have the Cubs ML, and I'm fugged too. They could have put this game away early, but they chose to let Florida back in it. Momentum is a real bitch in baseball...

Cub fan who bet Florida. Zambrano just drives you nuts.

I would look hard at the over 8 tomorrow also. Both teams have burned up the bullpens the last couple of nights.

Not a bad idea on the over. Yeah, I was worried about Zambrano, but I thought he would step up after they lost last night. I obviously gave him too much credit.

I got on Cubs ML at the last minute, this would be pretty sick if they blow this. We'll see what happens. Getting out of jams well so far....

I have to give them credit. I didn't think they would still have the lead in the 8th. But I did expect they wouldn't score another run after that big 2nd inning, and it looks like I will be right about it. Teams just flat out quit once they have a big inning.

I'd bet just about anything the Marlins will tie it in the 8th or 9th, and win in extras. Or they might just win it in 9. Either way, I don't think the Cubs have much of a chance (which I know sounds weird when they're up in the 8th inning). I'd love for them to prove me wrong, but I highly doubt that's going to happen.

Doesn't this just have the feeling of a game where the Cubs were supposed to lose? They've had so many chances to put it away, yet they can't score one single run. This has the feel of a game where, if the Cubs scored 3 in the 9th, the Marlins would score 5 to win it.
