Turned off Private Message???

When I try to send a private Message, it tells me that I have turned it off and I have to go to my options to turn it on. I am a little confused how I am supose to do that. can anyone talk to me like a 5 year old and take me step by step in how to do this.

Click on the User Cp on the toolbar above. Then under Settings & Options click on Edit Options. Then under Messaging & Notification scroll down to Private Messaging and check the box entitled Enable Private Messaging. Then scroll down and click on Save Changes. You should be good to go from there.
