you win a pot with 2-7 and you collect $3 from each player? is that right

DEPENDS ON WAT LIMIT....i think its 3 small blinds from each player.

sounds awful, lol, IMO!

I tell you what i found in the 1st few days . It seems like the blinds are calling late postion raises more than on a regular table thinking he's prolly got 72os.....also the opposite happens when the blinds raise in a limped pot.. nobody respects it cus they figure he's trying for the 72 pot..

So i think the key so far is really having a hand when u raise late or reraise from the blinds and hope you get 72 in early or middle position where they are not as likely to put u on that. You have to remember its still 72, if you see a flop ur gonna have to make a big bet bluff to win....it can easily cost you more than pot u get if u raise with 72 say 3 times and dont win any of them....You have to pick ur spot.
1 reason i was able to take that pot down is the table was closing, we had lost a few players in the last 2 hands and there hadnt been a lot of limping. when those guys limped i knew they would fold...

on high stakes poker they played this 7-2 rule...big bluff by hellmuth...kind of fun way to play some poker

I've been playing these at Absolute.

What I don't like is that the 72 pot doesn't accumulate, meaning that
if someone who contributes leaves the table, they take their
contribution with them.

I think if you leave the table, your money should stay.

That way the 72 pot could at least build up a little bit. Right now the
pots are so small that it doesn't add too much to the game, IMHO.
