Utter nonsense unless living like a relative pauper is perceived as a "reward".

My bad I should have said some people take advantage of the system instead of stating it the way i did.

How do some people take advantage of the system, by which I believe you intended to infer "undue advantage"?

if he included a resume maybe...

Had another two candidates in PA say again today..nah I will stay on unemployment..Before I hear the "offer crap job" They were both offered postions in the mortgage industry and were offered $12/hr which was $1 more than they have made the past 2 years. They thought about it and said

"Well that is $480/ week- take taxes out and add gas and day care..The gov is paying me $405/wk..I will stay unemployed it is not worth it..

Kinz looks like you have the same job as my wife. She also had a very hard time getting good people.

If I need to move to Forida I will look you up.

Title insurance companies up here in Michigan are going under.
Atleast my wife works at a nation wide company (Stewart).

Also I am on unemployment and it is very tough right now. Companies are not offering very much at all to start. But I would take a job if offered one

Complete bullshit. The intent is to provide an education and job training to increase one's employability. The success stories in such programs more than repay the taxpayers.

I'm not too hopeful for the example cited in the original post, however.

you and I had communicated before on this. Your wife is with a good company. We do some business (staffing) with them in Houston and Tampa. They are definately hiring. With all the contraction in the title industry only the big boys will be left.

**stock tip for investors* FNF Fidelity..they own 51% of all policies written in the US. Very low stock price and a long term play..

GL Rightside..keep positive and keep trying. I hope you have your resume on the job boards (I had to ask)..

I am not above taking advantage of a system. Just checked out some online sites for local welfare and food stamp services and I would have to lose over 90% of assets to be eligible for any of those. So other than defrauding the government, what options are available?

Well thank goodness we are not in that position at the moment.

I was at 7/11 yesterday and a lady asked the clerk if she could use her food stamp card to buy icecream. Yep he said and that was the only thing she got. She needs food stamps and buys icecream with it. And even worse is she paid the top price for it. Now these people are breaking the system

But they could still be rewarded better and have more advantages if they would simply find a job rather than relying on whatever the government throws to them. So even if the system is broken, changing the incentives likely wouldn't fix it
