I am looking for a lending institution that someone with fair credit can get a loan of $6500 for a term of 18 months, got caught up in payday loans and am currently paying about $1500 a week and it's killing me, do any of you all have any helpful advice, thanks in advance.

I know this isn't what you want but at least it will bump your post so someone can give you good advice.

The best advice is to never take out a payday loan. I've been there before. Just gotta work hard and pay em off and get out of it. They are never worth it.

Someone I know has paid like $2000 for a $500 title loan. Just ridiculous.

Am I correct that in some (or many) states it's possible to get multiple payday advance loans from multiple outlets?

Here in Florida, you can only have one at any given time.

We've used them numerous times in past couple years, probably about ten times. Paid $50 interest each time for $500

Admittedly would be preferable to have the $500 in interest payments, but that relatively small amount of grease helped hump us over some tight spots in a couple years.

I know a friend of mine in Utah has also had challenges with having multiple advances and at one point was like $1500-2000 down.

i think there is a site that people will give you a loan if you have good credit. i think the people are like you and me and they have to decide if they will do it. lenders i think bid on taking your loan or something. you have to state your case and they decide if they will do it.

Do you have any credit cards? If so, write a convience check (usually they can do a low interest for the life of that one check). If not, go to a bank and discuss where you are at.

Dante, truthfully no, I have a great job but a large part of my salary is bonus based and with the economy I am down about 20K so far this year, took a couple out to help me through with some bills, 2 kids in college, then took out the others to cover the rest of my expenses. Pretty stupid on my part but what's done is done.
