What is the Atlantic league of Professional baseball ?

Considering catching a game.

The Bridgeport Bluefish are an American professional baseball team based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They are a member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. From the 1998 season to the present, the Bluefish have played their home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

What level is this league similar too.... AA ?

i would guess rookie ball, but i've never seen any teams from that league play. for all i know they could be as good as some AAA teams.

I think Canseco was in that league playing for Newark.

The Atlantic League exists so that professional baseball players who are not signed by a Major or Minor League organization could have another chance at playing at a higher level. Although the level of Atlantic League play can be categorized as between AA and AAA, players in independent baseball are usually not scouted heavily by Major League teams. Many former Major League ballplayers have called Atlantic League teams home in an effort get back to the Majors.
