If anything, the line is begging for FLA money IMO. When I woke up this morning I expected to see the Phils around +135 or +140. Johnson vs. Moyer is one of the bigger pitching mismatches you will see all year.

Having said that, I like the Phils because I'm playing the sweep avoidance. I liked them even more after I saw the line. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not a trap to get people to bet on the Marlins, but it sure looks that way to me.

as someone whow atches every phils game (and just about every other mlb game) i have to agree 100% with u....considering their recent slide, and getting outhit in their opwn launching pad, i expected to see them as +125 .........playing .500 caliber ball or worse right now....and if i had to play the "books begging for money" card it would be begging for marlins

I knew the phils were a sucker bet, no way should moyer have been a dog at home with the way he owned florida, they were begging for bets on Philly.

Well I was obviously way off on that one. The "fishy" line (no pun intended) didn't mean anything, and the fact that the Phils had sweep avoidance going for them didn't matter either. Another great game for Johnson. That guy is a stud.

You really think Philly should have been favored??? Yes they're the better team and they were at home, but Johnson is one of the best pitchers in the majors IMO.

I love Moyer to death. I'm an M's fan and he won a ton of games for us, and he always did it with class, but the guy is on his last legs. Like I said earlier, I really think this was one of the bigger pitching mismatches of the year. Even if Moyer had past success against the Fish, Florida had a huge edge as far as starting pitchers went.
