YTD: 1-3 (25%)

Minnesota Twins -1.5 (-120)

Nick Blackburn has been two totally different pitchers at home and on the road. The contrast is like night and day. In fact, this year at the Metrodome, he is 5-0 with a 2.95 ERA. Although he lost a road game at Kansas City earlier this year, his career numbers against the Royals are impressive, as well (1-1, 2.25 ERA). That loss he suffered at KC on June 29th was before the tailspin that the Royals have been on ever since. They are 7-22 since July 7th, and have the worst record in the AL. Kyle Davies is coming off one of the worst outings of his career, and unfortunately for him he's going up against on offense that is absolutely on fire. I think this one is a blowout. Good luck to all!

Hedging early thanks to the Minnesota debacle

White Sox/Mariners OVER 8.5 (-120)

Seattle's offense has kicked it up a notch on this current homestand, taking 2 out of 3 against Tampa Bay, and now taking the first game against Chicago. Historically, the M's destroy John Danks, who is 0-4 with 8.10 ERA, including a 9-1 loss earlier this season. The Mariners are countering with Doug Fister, who is making his 1st career start and only his 2nd career appearance. After losing the first game of the series, I expect the Sox to come out swinging, and they should get their runs. Whether or not the Mariners continue to rip Danks remains to be seen, but if the way they swung the bats over the weekend is indicative of anything, I think the trend will continue. Good luck to everyone and let's try to break this cold streak!
