I haven't posted here since basketball ended but I have been playing a little baseball and concentrating on St. Louis and Kansas City as those are the only two teams I follow. I thought I would contribute some recent observations for my fellow RXers as they may be worthwhile.
The Royals are starting to hit and score runs. I don't know how long this will last. But that is not really important. There bullpen sucks. It's like pouring gasoline on a fire. It seems the O/U number are still being set based on the ERAs of the starters. They have been a great OVER play all week and I see tonight's game going over 9 again. It doesn't matter what the starter does unless he pitches a complete game and Greinke is the only starter who can go the distance lately.
The Cards are on fire since aquiring Holliday. Albert is back from his All-Star slump and if Carpenter or Wainwright start they have been money. I have been laying the 1.5 to reduce my exposure and it hasn't been a problem. Carp goes tonight. Wainwright tomorrow.
Hope these plays keep hitting. Good luck to all.
