Umpires did it again. Furcal was clearly out by more then a foot. Wasn't even close. This game should be over already.

Well Vin Scully said he was safe on that one but earlier in the game was a blown call the Giant didn't even dispute.

I have it on but not watching every pitch.

I'm watching it, every pitch, and the replays. Furcal's foot was in the air when the ball was already in Garko's glove. Scully is of course the Dodger's play by play announcer. That play didn't even need replay to see he was safe, but replay showed it wasn't even nearly close. :>(

Does anyone still doubt that umpires get paid off by the mafia?

I've said this is other threads. The umpiring this year is the worst I have seen in my lifetime. Even some of the different announcing crews have been bringing up the topic. It's obvious how bad it is.

With the economy the way it is you can't blame them lol.

Seriously though. Baseball needs to allow instant replay on all things not just home runs.

MLB certainly could use either the college football system of booth replays or the NFL with two challenges for each manager. This is ridiculous how bad it is getting. I have no money on the game and will admit I am a lifetime Giants fan, but I watch games without bias including all the games on MLB Extra Innings which is everyone and when you see as many games as I do, it's incredible how many blown calls are made by these umpires. Much, much worse then any other major sport IMHO.

I still remember the A's vs Twins game where the final score was 14-13. The Twins tied it up but they umpire called the guy out at home. What bothers me in baseball is how easily the managers get ejected for challenging a play.

Doesn't seem like the umpires ever reverse a call. It becomes a pissing match between the ump and the manager and the ump never reverses because it makes him look weak.
