I tried to withdraw some money and now they are asking me to fax them a copy of my driver's licence.

Is this standard procedure with them?

Ok. Just wanted to make sure. I don't trust anyone with this kind of info.

The only other time I won with sportsbook it was $900. A few weeks someone took everything from my bank account via ATM.

Anyone just another noob question but do online sportsbooks make money? I see people making a killing here and I wonder how they can afford to pay out.

Yes! In fact Sportsbook.com is one of the larger books. Don't believe everything you read on the forums. In the long run, only 3% of gambler's turn a profit. The books are the winners.

If the book has set their lines right, the dollars on winning sides should about equal those on the losing side. Meaning the books would be just shuffling wagers from losers to winners, keeping the vig for themself.

I thought it's only right for them to ask you to fax or email a copy of ur driving license and household bills? Afterall they have to check whether you are the legal owner of the sportsbook account. @):)
