Love the Rocky collection. It always gets me motivated whenever I watch them. I'm listing my favorites in order (I know nobody cares but I'm going to list them anyways)

I can't believe some of the younger kids I know ask me what's Rocky when I imitate him or talk about his movies.

Some of these kids nowadays missed out on great music, movies, etc. I feel it's my duty to talk about these things.

Man, I'm 27 and talking as if I'm 57.

My favorite Rocky movies in order.

1. Rocky 1
2. Rocky 3
3. Rocky 5
4. Rocky 2
5 Rocky 4
6. Rocky 6(this one was a disgrace but I still watched it)

Yeah, a lot of my buddies tell me that but I liked it, especially the street fight at the end where Tommy calls him out. 6 was the worst in my opinon.

I second that opinion.

I guess each movie had its own thing to like (at least to me which liked them all 1-4 .....number 5......is too real so I didnt like that.....I mean......after a lifetime of hardwork your idiotic inlaw wastes it all and you are screwed......not precisely something I want to think about while I play Rocky's music during my workout)

My order from most favorite to least

Rocky III, first one I saw, awesome soundtrack, a story of a comeback.....which of course only works when he is hungry for it

Rocky II, ok so Apollo Creed massive publicity stunt backfires and now he backed in a corner....against the advice of his people......he goes at it again and loses

Rocky IV, from the perspective of a non-US resident.......can this be anything but a cheap cheerleading 'we are great/God bless America/booo the commies/in the end even they love us' movie? still , I like the training scenes and music a lot

Rocky I, although it is the classic that got Stallone from a nobody to a millionarie.......I didnt quite like the anticlimatic ending but when you think about it, life is often anticlimatic

Yeah, a lot of people say they didn't like the 5th one because it was depressing that he went broke. There were a lot of cool scenes it though. I also like those songs they played during Tommy's matches like ''Go for it''

I'm watching the Rocky marathon on Spike right now even though I have the DVD collection.

The chicken chasing scene is my favorite thing in any of the Rocky movies. I like the old guy antagonizing Rocky during that part.

other than the training montage of Rocky IV I also liked a lot

the part of Rocky III where they show him having fun with the wife/motorcycles/money etc while Clubber Lang (aka Mr T) is getting ready to beat the living *hit out of anyone that gets in front of him LOL

and I also liked the part in Rocky I when Rocky sends Mickey to hell after he gets the offer to fight for the title. Its one of those 'oops.....now I have to kiss his behind' moments :laugh:

In my mp3 player that I take when I go running I have about 4 songs of Rocky I-IV soundtracks

Saw Rocky when it was released in 1976 and the next two.

Each fit just fine in what was then a solid trilogy of stories.

Never saw the ones after that

Was set up nicely how he had to bring the student back down to Earth at the end....

Only thing I liked about 5 was after Tommy Gunn hit Paulie in the bar...Rocky's quote

That's what I'm talking about. That scene and line was awesome. The way he checked on Paulie and then looked up and glared at Tommy and said that line. The street fight was great too.

I do it all the time, I must have about 10k worth of dvds plus all the shit I have downloaded..........

its like 'why am I watching this movie if I've watched it 50 times ?'

the only needed 'excuse' is that it is 'there' and you like it

in one of the most ridiculous shows I've ever watched (but I watched it religiously nonetheless).....

the show is called GLOW (gorgeous ladies of wrestling) broadcasting from the 'awesome' casino riviera in LV, NV.........all the way back to the early 90s......

this wrestler called Ninoska joked around and said "so you watched Rocky IV? but I thought it was forbidden in Russia".........her friend on the other end of the phoneline (who was suposed to be in Russia) says "but we watch it backwards so the Russian wins in the end" :laugh:
