Watching the movie CASINO right now and just wondering. What's life like working in the casinos? I'm talking pit bosses, floor managers, etc. Decent money? Long hours? Stable careers? High stress? Just wondering what life is like or if its anything like in this movie.

Been in the casino business over 18 years, currently in Tampa. I'll revisit this thread in a bit. Just got off at 3 AM for starters. Most younger-newer dealers / workers are degenerates. It's mindless work, many barriers at upper levels-- buddy system and nepotism.

The days of CASINO are long gone... Anything below a shift boss is factory type work IMO. Unless you go for your own somewhere at a decent joint.
