Rxers, NEED COMPUTER HELP! =(

hno:So I start my desktop and this AntiVirus software that I never downloaded starts alerting me that I had 10 trojan viruses on the computer.... It does it fast and lets me click on this thing to register to have it removed, it ask for my credit card info....

obviously I didn't do that.. I try to start my free anti virus I have, and when I am able to get it to load.... it says it finished scanning after 1 file.. obviously not true!....

my pc restarts anytime i click the internet or if i let it sit too long... please help.

please help, I dont want to lose my harddrive! =(

I would suggest booting off an OS disk, and if you don't have one downloading windows7 and booting off that... Wipe your HD and you'll be fine. Paying the $90 for Norton or Kaspersky is worth it.

ok, so i searched the RX forum... and found a thread..

And the guy in that post said they discoverd "10 fake trojans" and thats what I have....

I try to restore system, but the only date available is today, and obviously this isn't good...

i dont have a OS disk, got a free copy lol...

I tried to go to malwarebytes.com on the bad pc and it doesn't work...

Go to Walmart and grab Lolo System mechanic.It should also come with an antivirus disk.Its only 30 bucks for both disks.Its easy to install and it works great.

Windows7 is free at microsoft.com... Better than vista anyways. Save your important files and reinstall. I apologize if I'm not helping... A little hammered. Honestly though, everyone needs at least two partitions, one for system and programs and the other for actual data (your music, docs, p0rn, whatever)... That way you can wipe the system partition without losing data (most od the time).

Reboot computer.

Press F8 function key to boot into safe mode.
(Most of the time this won't allow viruses to start.)

Run your free anti-virus (make sure it is up to date).

Reboot your computer into normal mode.

celtic it was kind of you to help! i am currentlytrying this malwarebytes thing......

I have alot of files to be saved... so im going to try to get the pc working first....

I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT IF YOU GET AVGUARD POP UP SAYING YOU HAVE 10 TROJANS, DO NOT BUY THE SOFTWARE, ITS A SCAM TO GET YOUR INFO!!!!!!

Get Spybot on your machine. It's a great little program and you can run it from Safe mode if another Trojan like this get on your machine.
