I just moved to a new address but yet within weeks I started getting mail from sportsbooks such as BETUS and Bookmaker.

How is this possible? I never gave them my address. Does spamming take place in the RX if a mod has your address?

I just toss the mailings in the trash because I never found the point in taking a books bonus for deposits and reloads where you have crazy rollover requirements to meet before you can withdraw.

I think it is kind of tacky for a book to mail shit to a customer or potential customer because that is the kind of stuff that can put a gambler on blast with his wife. Not cool. When it comes to vices like gambling, porn and smoking solicitors should make you request to be put on their mailing list.

You never had to give your address to the books?
That doesn't bother me,but what does the cold calls. I had bought a package form OTL sports....biggest scammers out there. They sell your number and I got no less then 3-4 calls a day from touts trying to sell me picks. 2 years later it finally stopped. I still get the occasional call.

As far as I know, I'm the Only Mod that has Your address. and I can tell you Right Now...In No Way would I give that Information to ANYONE.
And there isn't another Mod here that would do that either.

If you received something through the mail from a Book, It could only mean at one time or another You had an Account at their Shop or Sister Shop. ( could be any Contest, as well ) (<)<

Hosnatcher

I would like to take this opportunity to reassure everyone who for one reason or another gives us any personal information. That information remains here under all circumstances.

Even with events such as The Rx Bash the only information we have available to us are names, and email addresses. We don't even know which poster name matches the real name in many cases.

Our very strict policy with personal information is to never disclose any private poster information to outside parties under any circumstances unless we are directed by the owner of the name or email address to pass it along to someone as a favor for them. Since we made the PM feature available those type of requests have dropped very substantially.

Bottom line is TheRx.com does not sell or give any personal information that we may posses from our posters to anyone.

I did a search through my own database of information where your address would most likely be stored on the email address hosnatcher has on file in his profile and here is a cut and pasted copy of the results..

Search Results

Sorry. We didn't find any results matching the following criteria:

Containing the search term: xxxxxxxx@XXXXXobal.net

You might want to:
  • Broaden your search by using fewer search terms
  • Check your spelling
  • Try using different words that mean the same thing
Thanks, wilheim

I didn't think you were pumping out my addresses to books betall. You have been a stand up dude when it came to my watch purchases and you never dropped any literature in the shipments. I actually started getting flyers from books at my new address before I personally gave you my mailing address.

Like I said to me it doesn't matter if I receive the information from the sportsbooks in the mail because I am a single serial-dater so I don't have to worry about a Mrs. monitoring my spending habits. I was just thinking about some of the posters here who have to keep their gambling discrete from their family.

I just haven't funded a sportsbook until last week so my new address shouldn't be on file with any sportsbooks and the literature that has came in the mail with my new address written on it and not mail forwarded from my old address.

My bet is DirecTV or the fantasy sports sites are selling the addresses of people that buy sports packages and play fantasy games to the sportsbooks.

If you are doing this then you have bigger problems than getting some junk mail.

Mailing list services gather names & addresses from 100's of different sources. i.e. if you have EVER subscribed to a sports newsletter or had an account at ANY online sportsbook etc, they can get your name / address and put it into a huge database. Then they sell those names / addresses to touts, sportsbooks, whoever is willing to pay for them.

I'm not sure how they got your new address but am guessing they have access to the post office change of address info also.
