cars in PA get taxed everytime they change hands....its very possible that a car purchased for 10k new might have more taxes then the car actually cost by the time it hits the junkyard. a joke if you ask me
I think the "personal property tax" on a new car that cost about $25G is over $1000/ yr. here in Va.
I could buy an old clunker that would "get me around" for what I would pay in yearly pp tax on a decent new car.
I assume you mean the actual "price" and not the "value". Never thought of Michigan being a tax friendly state, but guess when it comes to cars, it is.

Same deal in NC. I've always thought it was a joke.
It got worse a few years ago when they started taxing tax value instead of asking the buyer how much they paid. Funny how many people paid "$1" - LOL
