I've used ticketsnow.com & ticketliquidator.com and both of those were solid. Their surcharge is way less than stubhubs and the tickets are fedex to you with the tracking#.

all above methods you are getting bent over. With this economy tickets are going for 30 cents on the dollar at 99% of the venues.

A few years ago I bought NCAA tournament tickets at Stubhub. Everything went smooth.

Do not use stubhub.

They charge the buyer a 10% (or at least used to). You are much better off going via Ebay.

Used for a concert in Miami and a football game in Dallas. Both times went extremely smooth and no issues. Support was quite helpful when I needed them to pat me on the head and tell me they would arrive in time.

Knock Stubhub all you want. I used them to buy Red Sox-Tigers ticket for their Thursday day game. I got a ticket in the bleachers. There was nobody selling tickets outside. I had no intention of coming up from New Jersey without a ticket. Tickets we so scarce that the people behind me paid almost what I paid from a scalper. They bought the tickets after the second inning. That's right. The scalper was asking $120 a ticket after the game started. He finally sold them for $70 a piece. Stubhub's office is located a block from the park. I hate their commision and charges but what are you gonna do.
If you want tickets at the last minute Ebay is a waste of time.

Disagree completely. You can get some many great deals on ebay at the last minute.

Craigslist is the best for last-minute tickets.

If I were going to a major sporting event, I would use Stubhub over the dirtballs hanging outside the stadium. At least you know the tickets are real.

You trust the guys outside of stadiums with tickets? Im going to give you and everyone else a heads up from now on if you buy tickets from someone outside of the event your going to. Make sure you make him walk to the gate with you and make sure the person your with stands besides him and doesn't let him takeoff running. Once you get in its all good. But if there fake your friend is still with him and you can get a refund.

And I'm suppose to go to Fenway and look around for a guy wearing a green T-shirt on Landsdowne St to pick up my ticket. In order to do a last minute transaction it requires for both parties to meet. I can walk up to the Stubhub office or hope that someone can fight through the traffic to give me the ticket.

I surely don't trust the ones arould Wrigley. I know a couple of area guys who can point out the good guys. Many of the last minute tix on Craigslist are corporate tickets. I agree with the rest of your post.

I've used Stub Hub for numerous events over the past several years, both sporting events and concerts. Every time things have gone absolutely perfect. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to take the chance of getting ripped off by scalpers outside the venue or via Craigslist, and to anyone who is traveling a long distance for the event. They also have the largest selection of anywhere.
