I think the background singing helped the audience to get caught up in the performance and that swayed the judges. Don't get me wrong, the guy is good and has the talent to do well. He needs help hitting some of the notes (I'm sure that will come later) and he needs help with his stage presence. He looked like a monkey jumping around on the stage.
Didn't see it. Thought he was a cross between Bob Segar and Joe Cocker voice wise , but i think i might sound good with all the background singing. I also think Simon is sharp as hell and he knows how to promote someone and i'm sure his head is already spinning around.He was m ore of an entertasiner than a singer although i couldn't really hear because the background was so loud and strong.
