I thought this guy was a competitor but he seems to be sulking and mailing it in. That's a shame. I've lost a lot of respect for this guy.

The team mailed it in first by trying to trade him, and letting Rios go on waivers.

Believe me if Halladay was traded to the Phillies like he was supposed to be he would not be pitching like this. His head just isn't in these meaningless games.

i dont think he minds toronto....i think its the being openly shopped that makes him feel betrayed...hard to focus on your craft when your answering questions about being traded for 3 months of the year.

This is advanced analysis...you are primed to work with the likes of Eduardo Perez & Fernando Vina on Baseball Tonight one day.

  1. They need to unload overbay and wells.
  2. They need Marcum and McGowen to come back
  3. They need to ditch some bullpen guys
  4. They need to let Snider and some of the young guys play everyday.
  5. They need to fire Gaston
  6. They need a reliable clean up hitter
This team could win 90 games next year if these things happen. You have 2 or 3 terrific young hitters. You have possibly the best starting rotation in AL (no joke) If Halladay has his head on straight.

Halladay
Marcum
McGowen
Romero
Rzepczynski
Cecil

I mean this staff can be special. It would make me sick to play for that Toronto team now too....but you have 4 or 5 potential All Stars next season. He should stick it out and keep his head up.

Cito Gaston is helping keep this team afloat, if he wasn't manager this team would have 15-20 less wins. Letting Rios go for free on waivers is the best move this organization has made in years. I agree with the rest of the list though. Halliday enjoys Toronto, he doesn't want to leave but at the same time he wants to play for a contender. He'll be traded next season. I think he's going through a rough stretch right now, happens to every pitcher throughout the season
