For example, you pick teams A, B, and C. This would create the following bets:
$20 risk to win $52 on A & B
$20 risk to win $52 on A & C
$20 risk to win $52 on B & C
If any two teams win, you win $12
If 1 or no teams win, you lose $60
If all three teams win, you are up $156

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Best for ML dogs in bases IMO (or RL fav's at +$)....Usually pick my 4 best at odds between +100 and +200

I used to play alot of 4 teamers just for action. Every 2 ways= 6 bets at 1/10th of a unit. Plus another 1/10th on the same 4 teamer. ($10)
Not too difficult to go 2-2. That gets you 4-1 or so on the 1 win for a net loss of $20. Even if you go 0'fer it's still only -.7 units which IMO is better than trying to force a "real" play if the card isn't that great.

Good times when you sweep. Cash 6 tickets at between 3-1 & 4-1....plus a bomb 4 teamer.

I'm not playing this ticket...but just for example:

high volatility
high return
i refuse to lay more than -140 so it is particularly useful to me in bases where i have many plays. this way i can reduce my risk, while increasing my reward. the swings are a bitch

the best return is to play 5 ways 3,4,5 teams, giving 16 parlays
this will cost 16 x unit size
basically;
3/5 break even
4/5 win pretty good
5/5 jackpot

if you play 4 ways;
2 teamers:
2/4 loser
3/4 break even
3 teamers:
3/4 break even
basically to win you would have to go 4/4

do most books cap earnings on Round Robins?
had 8 teamer with 2s come in with two losses
say 1 unit to win 4

heavy favorite and dog
1 unit to win 3.8units

+200 and +170
1 unit to win 4

+170 and + 134
1 unit to win 4

this industry standard?
