SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -142

The Giants need this game, as they are looking to stay afloat in the NL Wild Card race. The Rockies are on fire right now, and the Giants know that now is not the time to slip up. Facing the D'Backs could help their chances, as Arizona has lost 8 of their last 9. Doug Davis was shelled in his last start at Philly. He hasn't done too well against San Fran this year either, going 0-2 with an 8.10 ERA in his last two starts against them. Sandoval could be out tonight for the Giants, but if they are going to stay in the playoff race, they are going to need to get big hits from others anyways. Jonathan Sanchez has been hot since being put back into the starting rotation, going 4-2 with a 2.90 ERA, including a no-hitter against San Diego. Arizona has a subpar offense to say the least, and Sanchez seems to feast upon weak lineups. The Giants have won 7 out of 10 against Arizona this year, and after a come-from-behind win last night, I think they start to turn things in the right direction heading into the stretch run. Good luck to all!
