Giants are fantastic at home best home record in baseball 41-20, a completely different team at home..

Lincecum going for revenge, pitched a gem at Coors should fare just as well at AT&T. Hate to use the word due, but Lincecum hasn't won a game this month and Jimenez has won six straight law of average???

Look at Lincecum's numbers for this game..
1.98 ERA at home
2.15 ERA at night

Last 4 home games:
4 ER, 20 H, 37 K 5 BBs



Jimenez is a solid pitcher as well, but I'll give the nod to the Lince especially at home..

Rockies been using up a lot of bullpen, Rockies traveled, Rockies have lost two straight.. Rockies bats not as effective at AT&T. No travel for Giants..

Think the juice will be high w/ Timmy on the mound? Wells today for the Cubs was at -300...just can't imagine for a Cy Young winner, LOL.

NO but seriously, this is a huge game for San Fran here, they're at home, have their ace on the mound, it's not a gimmie but it's a damn good situation to bet Lincy.

Ill like San Fran even more tommorrow if they lose to Zona tonight. Puts that much more pressure on Lincy to step up tommorrow night.

looks like they will really need the game with the dbax opening up can of whoop ass in 1st inn vs them...about to be down 3 or 4 runs, with 1.8 whip guy on mound....


regardless of what they do today, u might have to temper your expectations , because i think their bullpen gonna get taxed regardless of tonights outcome, this guy is in first as isnt long for this game tonight

Giants are only 4-4 in his last eight starts and he has had some high pitch totals the last few which has lead him to get pulled earlier than normal.
Jiminez has won five in a row and has given up two runs or less in each start.

Another factor is that Molina likely won't be catching him because of his injured quad. Whiteside will most likely be behind the plate. Now, all that being said, the Rockies are coming off losing 2 of 3 from the Dodgers and when they started that series, they were only 3 back and cut it to 2 after the first game win. The Giants have been waiting for the Rockies and have their best pitching rotation of Lincecum, Zito and Cain lined up. Lincecum has definitely not been the beast in August that he was up through July, however, this will be a big series for the Giants to stay in contention or narrow the Wild Card gap with the Rockies, so they will give it everything they have. They very well may win tomorrow and I hope they do, but there are still question marks.

The Giants are down 4-0 to Az on Thursday night. Looks like they are looking ahead to Friday night.

BTW, I never would have bet on SF tonight with Molina out. Their new catcher can kiss my "white backside".

Last night when Molina hit that walk off 3 run pinch hit homer to beat Arizona, he was limping around the bases worse then Kurt Gibson years ago. He could barely lift his leg. Key an eye on the daily injury reports.

I wouldn't factor in travel, the Rockies were done early this afternoon, probably tucked in bed already while the Giants are still playing.

Anyone think Colorado will have a drop off after an emotional series with the Dodgers...cutting the lead to 2, back to 4 now..happened with the Yankees/Sox a couple times...just another $.02.
