Anyone looking to make Vegas plans may want to wait until Aug. 31

I just got an e-mail from Southwest Airlines Vacations saying they were going to have a "top secret huge sale" (their words) on travel to Las Vegas starting Monday.

Anyone considering heading out there may want to wait until Monday before buying anything. I don't know what the deal will be, but they just ended a 2-for-1 deal to Vegas that I know did really well for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they put that back into effect.

The deal is also for travel to Orlando, if that's more up a person's alley.

Heading to Vegas tomorrow for a stay through Saturday.

I have been staying at the LV Hilton since 1974. My wife and I had a miserable experience there(4 nights) two weeks ago. Our next trip, we will be staying at the Treasure Island. I ran into an old casino host friend of mine there.

Just released. It is the return of that 2-for-1 "Friends Fly Free, Stay Free" special to Las Vegas (and Orlando). This one expires on Sept. 28, 2009.
