To be honest. Starz is getting close with the amount of movies. HBO used to have the best original series, but of late I think Showtime has taken the title. But Showtime movies SUCK!!!!
The way it breaks down is Starz has %40 of Hollywood studio exclusive rights & HBO has %40. Showtime makes up the remaining %20. You can google to see which studios in particular have their deal with those premium channels. i.e. Disney movies go direct to Starz.

I hate exclusive deals.
There was a day when all the movie channels played all the same movies.
Now you have to have all the movie channels to have the same quality of programing that you use to get with just one package.

Only 3 channels for the same price as Starz (13) or HBO (6).
I have Starz and Playboy channel..every night at 9m CST they have a double porn feature from movies that they play on the adult PPV channels...they just cut out the pop shots..
