Nice write up!
However, I don't think Texas Rangers will even not play in post-season. They can't win Wild Card, Reason: Red Sox. Also, they can't pass Angels either..
It's possible. They could pass the Angels and Red Sox.
1. There are seven games (3 game series and 4 game series) left between the Rangers and the Angels, and the Rangers have had their number all year.
2. The Angels have to go to Boston next week, which equals loses while Texas is playing Oakland - not too tough of an opponent.
3. The Angels also have to play a series against the Yankees coming up soon - while Texas is again playing Oakland.
4. Boston still has a couple tough series against the Yankees and Tampa Bay in Florida. Meanwhile, Texas will be playing Oakland and Seattle during those series.
There is a legitimate chance here. The schedule matchups are favorable for Texas. I think it will come down to the wire in the end, but I feel it's worth a shot. A little will go a long way at 40:1 odds.
Who do you have winning it all, Sawyer?
(PS: I'm a huge Rangers fan, so I'm totally biased)
