I want to make it clear that we want to keep our regular Team A will beat Team B sports pick in the sport forum that it belongs in. This is nothing new here at The Rx.com. but every year around the beginning of football a few posters either forget this policy or are not aware of it.

I understand no one likes to have a thread moved but we just cannot handle all of the sports picks here in this forum.

Today for example, there will be at least 200 separate active threads in The College Football Forum, Should they all be posted here in The Offshore Forum this forum would be the College Football Forum for the day.

The same thing will happen tomorrow, should all the NFL selections that get posted end up in the Offshore Forum it will cease to exist thus all NFL picks will be moved to The NFL Forum.

We do make some exceptions in at least two areas.

First: whenever there is a monumental sports event such as the Super Bowl, The Kentucky Derby, The Maters, The World Series and once in a while a super boxing match and several other events.. These events transcend the average college or pro football, Baseball, basketball or hockey game, so we allow some selections on these super events to remain here for discussion.

Second: There are a few veteran posters who on the rare occasions when they post a play in this forum we allow it to stay. I posted about this on September 4th. Here is a copy of the post (many of you could easily have missed it).

This was after Fishhead had posted a CFB pick about a week before the game itself and I wanted to make it clear why we allowed the thread to remain here in the Offshore Forum.

For the record Fish is among a handful of very veteran Rxers we bend one of our rules a bit for and allow them to post their top plays for the greater good of the troops here on The Offshore Forum.

Moderators look the the other way in recognition of long and generous service when vets like Fish want to share.

There are a handful of others that are in Fish's group. Notably G.Money with an occasional pony, Sportsavant with his Canadien Football special, Judge Wapner with anything he recommends, Slim with an everybody and their pet Iguana plays, TryTryTry with a pony or exacta, Iceman with a + even situation, Bellyputter with a golf play, of course CoachLT with a RubberBand selection, although he usually shares them with his pals in College Foots. Finally a Buffalo only for or against play from Harrington.

Just in case anyone was wondering if we had changed policy - no we haven't except on rare occasions and when any of the everyone plays something events occur like the Kentucky Derby, The Masters, The World Series, The Super Bowl or a super boxing match (although those are few and far between anymore)..

Thanks and best of luck to all you Miners backers, wil...:toast:

Anyway, to you posters who didn't know our policy on picks here in the Offshore forum there it is. 99% of all pick threads get moved by a moderator to the correct sport forum. The truth be known your picks are in a much busier forum if they are in one of our major Sport Forums rather than here in the Offshore Forum.

For example right now around 4:35PM EDT:

Post in CFB and you have over 1600 viewers:

The Rx College Football Forum (1651 Viewing)
Discuss anything related to betting College Football. Post Your Picks in Here!

Post Offshore and you have 322.

OFFSHORE FORUM - Online Sportsbetting (322 Viewing)
Mentioned in NY TIMES, WSJ, USA TODAY, & DRF. The internet's most popular and busiest sports betting forum. The place to discuss all kinds of sports and gambling related subjects.

Also notice the wording under each forum name.

I hope this settles the matter.

Thanks, wilheim
