Things I Learned in the NFL on Sunday

After the first full day of the NFL, we got to learn about a lot of things that could hold true the rest of the season. Granted, it's only the first week, but

* The Bengals are hilarious. Despite proclaiming on "Hard Knocks" that this season could be a promising season, they could have a new head coach by next season. Though out playing Denver and out gaining them, they were still losing 6-0. A touchdown with :34 seconds left looked like this would be the year for the Bengals! Then God woke up from his nap and remembered the Bengals are suppose to lose games and decided to have them lose in the most ridiculous way.

* Baltimore's defense might not be so feared this season. Brodie Croyle subbed in for an injured Matt Cassel and threw 2 TD's an no turnovers. KC also got 17 points from their offense. They were suppose to be terrible. I know it's only the first week but I'm just saying.

* The Carolina Panther are going to be fun to play for other teams. Jake Delhomme and the Panthers combined for seven turnovers. He also threw for 73 yards. That's less yards than Kyle Orton threw for on the improbable game winning 87 yard TD.

* Eric Mangini is an idiot. Keeping his starter a secret clearly did not help. Next time maybe he should keep his bad coaching a big secret.

* Adrian Peterson is so money, he doesn't even know it. 3 TD's and 180 yards rushing. Everytime I see the commercial when he's running in slow motion and his muscles are ripped and very little fat is moving around, I feel motivated to skip that piece of cake next time. But when it's cake time, I have two pieces.

* Are the Houston Texans that bad or are the NY Jets that good? I'd go with a lot of the first and a little of the second.

* Drew Brees is on pace to throw 96 touchdowns this season. It's unlikely.

* Matthew Stafford is on pace for 48 interceptions. I think this is more possible.

* St. Louis Rams will have the first pick in the draft next year. They're awful. I think even a garbage can would be offended to have them inside.

* Detroit Lions will be winless until week 8 when they play the Rams. They have a bye on Week 7 but they'll still feel like they lost.

* That game in Week 8 will be the Super Bowl of the season for both teams because they both should be winless till that point. It should be a Sunday Night flex game.

* Tony Romo was smart to break up with Jessica Simpson. Having that right arm throwing footballs instead of using it to tell her to move her fat ass out the way is much more effect.

* The Washington Redskins will always be the off season champions. Daniel Synders buys the biggest and baddest toy, only to forget the rest of the team has holes. Namely the secondary, offensive line, quarterback, and team owner.

* Arizona Cardinals will suffer the same fate as most Super Bowl runner ups and have everyone forget they were in the Super Bowl last year.

* Cutler will make fans in Denver happy they got rid of him and Bears fans will still suffer another mediocre quarterback. Sure he has talent but he tries too hard to impress. 4 interceptions? Could have been ten easily tonight. If you saw the game, you'd agree.

* Jay Cutler is on pace for 64 interceptions.

* Everyone on the St. Louis Rams should not be started in fantasy football. They're really that bad.

* Mark Sanchez will have more touchdowns, wins, pats on the back, and celebrity models trying to date him than Matthew Stafford this season.

* Matthew Stafford will have more interceptions, losses, angry fans, sleepless nights, and money than Mark Sanchez this season.

* I love the NFL.

I bet Cincy -5 but that was already toast so I was able to laugh. If i had Denver +3 in the second half, I would have laughed even harder!
