If you could do it over would you still trade Hanley Ramirez, Anibal Sanchez and Jesus Delgado for Mike Lowell and Josh Beckett?

Beckett's performance alone during the 2007 playoff run made this a good trade- This is one of those trades that happened to work for both teams-

I didn't make the trade the first time, therefore it is impossible for me to "do it over."

But it was a trade that worked out very well for the Red Sox and one I am glad they made. As close as they came last year, even if they had Ramirez, only a small chance it would have been enough to overcome both their pitching stuggles and then win another round against the Phillies

This year Beckett has pitched well and Lowell is still an above average hitter. An extra four years of Ramirez after they both become free agents would be real nice. Just not as nice as that World Series title. And since I've moved out of Massachusetts, even two or three more wouldn't be as enjoyable

peaking at the right time

easy yes...we have our shortstop back too. He's awesome, if he can stay away from the other player's wives. he makes the infield defense come together. Lowell has been a great player for us and Beckett is animal
