I didn't make the trade the first time, therefore it is impossible for me to "do it over."
But it was a trade that worked out very well for the Red Sox and one I am glad they made. As close as they came last year, even if they had Ramirez, only a small chance it would have been enough to overcome both their pitching stuggles and then win another round against the Phillies
This year Beckett has pitched well and Lowell is still an above average hitter. An extra four years of Ramirez after they both become free agents would be real nice. Just not as nice as that World Series title. And since I've moved out of Massachusetts, even two or three more wouldn't be as enjoyable
