I haven't watched it yet, but saw that he got 15Million viewers the first Night...then it dropped to 11Million the 2nd Night.

I think he will be in Trouble come next week, when Most shows Premiere their New season.

yes...

I PVRD every show.

the "Interview" with Barrack on the first episode was absolutely hilarious!!!!

WED's 'Stupid 911 calls' was also very funny. (or maybe that was last night)

I saw it. Same show as the Tonight Show. He didn't even try to change anything. I found his humor too bland.

That Barack interview was horrible. That would've been funny in the early 90's not now.

I can't stand the backstabbing SoB, so I'm staying clear.
I hear if you are a Leno fan, the show is pretty much the same so you'll like it.

I agree. At late night all that stuff is acceptable but now they're saying the show is so cheap to make that even a low rating would mean profits for them. He should've just left though. Makes him looks bad. Pass on the baton. Conan is lightyears better.

He wasn't forced out. The guy had the highest ratings of late night.

Here's what happened:

Conan's contract was gonna be up and he could've gone to another network and done the 11:30 time slot. NBC wanted to secure Conan and promised him 11:30 when Leno retired.

They offered Leno money at an earlier time slot because they didn't want to risk him going to another network.

I think he's horrible but his show always had higher ratings. They made a mistake. Conan doesn't even get half the audience of Leno.

i seem to remeber Leno doing a show with Conan as a guest like 4-5 years ago and was saying he was going to retire in a few and Conan was getting his job, but then in the past few years Jay started acting like he wasn't ready to retire.

I don't know, but i think maybe Jay planned on retiring and maybe doing something else and then he changed his mind but NBC already had plans made, again i'm just assuming, and NBC had to make another plan.

about the show itself , i watched the 1st just to see what it was about and because Seinfeld was going to be on. I liked the bit with that Dan Band guy.
I didn't watch Tues or Wed , but switched over during commercial of the game last night and just happened to catch Halle Berry coming on (she looked smoking hot) amd watched that interview then switched back.

I never really watched Jay too often.I was always a Letterman fan @ that time slot. Now,It's Conan for me.I make sure that I'm changing the channel though as soon as the credits roll because I can't stand the Jimmy Fallon show,it's repulsive.I caught a little of Jays new show this week and it was alright,I'll probably watch it now that its on @10 but more for the guests than for Jay.I wish they had put Letterman on @ 10 so I could watch him first then Conan afterward just like the good old days.I know,I need to just get a recorder.

I heard NBC didn't want to lose Conan who is believed to be NBC's late night talkie of the future, so they made Leno a deal he couldn't refuse.

That's what I meant by 'forced'.

Doesn't matter, when Letterman hangs 'em up, it'll be Craig Ferguson ruling the late shift.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap
