That would bitch if their son's team got blown out 63-0 in a football game or 100-0 in hoops, etc.

I'm tired of reading these articles about teams "running" up the score. Get a clue parents, coaches, ADs, High Schools. Your team and kids suck!,...it has nothing to do with sportsmanship. :ohno:

Did you see that clip on ESPN that showed one team up 43-0 and the coach for the losing team called timeout and approached the other team's head coach and asked him if he'd give up the shutout so a player with Down Syndrome could score a TD?

The coach that was up said he thought it would be a great lesson for his team and great sportsmanship so the team ran a sweep for the kid and he took it to the house. The kid was excited as could be.

Good story.

Yes, that was awesome.

Viking611 would be the coach pressing up 40 points.

I've always thought you go hard until the game is over. Sportsmanship is shaking hands afterward.

Part of grade school and non-varsity sports is learning the game. The talent gaps can be huge. Kids must learn sportsmanship also, not sure how overbearing coaches teach this over feeding his ego.

Don't disagree...But I do wonder which video clip would get the most Views

a) The team with big lead gives room for the Downs kid to run for a TD?

b) The team with big lead gives room for the kid, but at last moment one of their players gives a speed burst and strips the ball from kid inside the five yard line

Would there be more people watching with elation (a) or with outraged horror (b)
