There was nothing like being at the Old Chicago Stadium..The place was electric, the New stadium is dead and just does not have the same feel.

Makes virtually no difference to me. I care about the teams playing, the ticket cost, travel time/traffic/parking, company. The bricks and the chairs are trivial

I would have to agree with Tom.

I hardly go to games anymore. I just don't believe it is worth the time, cost and the possibility of the game being completely one-sided.

When a game is a blowout at home, say a MNF or Sunday night game, you can change the channel or doing something else.

I'll take the VET any day of the week over the Linc or Citizens Bank.

You are not serious....the Vet was a morgue or a concrete jungle; same as Three Rivers or Cincy's stadium...

The Vet was great to see games in. I especially loved the Vet during the baseball season. I'll take 62,000 baseball fans in one stadium any day over 43,000 fans. For football the home field advantage was huge. Teams used to hate playing at the Vet. All of these new stadiums are terrible IMO.... I miss the Vet and I will miss the Spectrum when they knock that down.

The Spectrum I will agree with...

With the new stadiums, I prefer real grass as opposed to artificial turf...easier on the athlete...

By the way, I still miss Connie Mack Stadium...

Ahhhhhh yes... It would have been a dream come true to see the great Ty Cobb and Jimmy Foxx play one game together at Connie Mack. Man I wish Doc from Back to the Future could come pick me up right now.

My father was a Giants fan, he hated to see them move west, so when they came to Connie Mack, we were always there....

Mays, McCovey, and the Alous...

Absolutely true. You woulda just have to have been there to really understand. Second balcony and you were really right on top of the action. Made climbing all those steps more than worth it.

Noise level deafening and then throw in the booming pipe organ. Nothing like it anywhere.
