NCAA Poll Rankings should not start until

atleast week 7. What a joke this system is. Ole Miss @ #4. This team sucks. Have had 2 other top 5 teams already beat. Polls are a joke most of time anyhow....you have dumb ass sports writers and ESPN guys voting on it.

If anything, let Vegas rank the teams. A team outside the top 15 to start the season has virtually no chance (very very little) to make it to a BCS game, let alone, title game.

the polls will never go away, too much part of the game. maybe they could do like 4 weeks of "preseason" polls, and require each team to play its non con games out of the gate. once the conference season starts, you have the bcs rankings.....

just a rough draft idea

they are a joke...ole miss started top10 bc they beat TT in their bowl last year and got a good bump off that and bc they had a lot of starters coming back and people read into that....

oklahoma did it in 2000....they were ranked 20something... i think 22nd

The system is a joke and the resulting overlays has been a boon to those willing to Capp it.

That's because they have very very little chance to survive the season with no more than one loss. The customers ask for these polls from the start, so why shouldn't they offer them. If the AP and ESPN stopped doing it out of principal, others would simply take their place
