I'm starting this thread to share great golf trip ideas and deals.

Some my buddies and I plan an annual golf trip, and Im sure many of you do the same so this thread should help with future ideas.

Last year we went down to Scottsdale and had a blast at Meridian condos. They have Play/Stay specials that are incredibly cheap with Unlimited Golf options. http://www.condoresorts.com/

However now we are now looking for a different destination that has great courses but at a relatively affordable rate. Anyone do house rentals?

So let's hear it, what great golf trips have you gone on? what great deals have you come across?

I haven't gone the last couple of years, but I used to do a similar thing each summer with a bunch of guys. I've done New Orleans, San Diego, Tahoe, Destin and Vancouver. They've done Myrtle Beach, Aspen, Austin and some place in So. Alabama, but I didn't go to those.

Destin and Vancouver were the best. In Destin you can stay in 3-4 bedroom resort properties that are convienent to the beach and golf. It was really nice b/c you didn't have to worry about transportation. There were shuttles that would pick you up at your condo and drop you off either at the beach or the course. They also had this little bar/restaurant section of the resort that you could walk to. Super relaxing.

BTW, see you're in Boulder. Go to CU?

Been going to Myrtle Beach every year now for about 8 years now. Stay a week and atleast play 4 rounds. World tour is a must for us every year. Going to Kiawah 2nd week in October to play the ocean course and cant freaking wait! My friend has a house on the island next to Nancy Kerrigan which isnt much but pretty cool I guess. If I ever learn how to upload pics I will try to when we get back!

A golf trip to Pebble Beach is a must for any golf group. Did a trip there last year and it was everything it should be. Played Pebble, the Links, and Spyglass. Get caddies and enjoy every single stroke, and lesiten to every word they say.

I live in Scottsdale and am admittedly spoiled by the great golf in the area, but Pebble blew it away. Worth every dollar. Just do it.
