They better end the game early, voiding all Over bets. It was one of the easiest Overs in a long time. This is just tough luck.

I'm about 5 or 6 miles away from the ballpark. It started pouring here and didn't start pouring at the game until about 10 minutes later. It stopped raining here at least 5 minutes ago.

What reasoning do books have for canceling totals if the game finishes early?

The over was met. It's not like if they kept going the points would've gone down.
