Have you checked out the NFL Redzone channel yet?

Alternates between every game when there is action. Can't believe they switch to every game in HD. They will probably end up charging for it.

Only get to check it out on away games because I'm a season ticket holder.

I love this channel. Best part is it's FREE.

Pretty sure a bunch of people don't know about it because I didn't see it advertised much.

it's free for you? I had to add the "Sports entertainment package" for $5 a month to get it. I get a lot of other sports channels though.

I love it! But here in Jacksonville, it's on in SD. Really wish it was in HD though.

Great channel, but I think the NFL may wrap it with the Direct Ticket package in the future after the existing Directv contract ends. I believe they will open up the Ticket package to both cable and satellite in a few years and make that channel part of it. Because as it is now I see hardly any need for direct ticket package since this channel does all the channel flipping that you would normally do for you. The exception would be if you actually want to watch one prime matchup from beginning to end. NFL redzone channel will more than likely reduce direct ticket subscriptions next season.

This channel is spectacular. Watched it more than the Jets/Giants games that were on my locals. Was only bitter when they switched to the Jets or Giants games !

Given that cable doesn't have a package with the nfl to receive all its games, the Redzone channel is fantastic. I have been glued every week. If you are an NFL fan, or a gambling degenerate like me - it's a must have!

I like it cause in the 4pm games when they don't jump as much from game to game, they'll show a lot of a particular game.

I've never had the Sunday ticket but I would prefer the Redzone channel to that because this jumps from game to game and shows all the touchdowns live or just after they've been scored.

And for only $5 compared to $300, that's good enough for me.

Found it by accident week 1 and I love it. It's part of the Sports Entertainment package on Comcast which I bought for TVG and HRTV.

You Comcast guys are lucky to get Red Zone.

Directv, you have to purchase NFL sunday ticket and superfan which will set you back some $350.

I called them up, I was like why can't I just get red zone?! The people with cable get it. He was like that's because NFL is exclusive to Directv, you need to talk to your cable provider.

I'm like "I DON'T HAVE A CABLE PROVIDER!, I USE YOU GUYS!" And then he says "Sorry, I can't help you".

I'm not ready to give up yet. But I'm little distraught.

I have had the Sports Entertainment Package ($4.99/month) for quite awhile and forgot it now includes the Red Zone. :ohno:

Have to check it out as the package includes, approximately 6 or more live college football games on various channels on Saturday as well as the NFL Network, NBA, MLB, Tennis and TVG (The Horse Racing Network). Not bad for 5 bucks.

I have both Comcast (very basic package along with high-speed internet) and Directv Sunday Ticket. Absolute BS we have to pay $350 for something Comcast paying $5/month for. If Directv had a viable internet package, I would drop Comcast in a second.

I'm thinking next year, they either drop their price dramatically, or I should switch to one of these other cable providers who can get the RZC, because DirecTV sucks.
