Lets try and cap this great sport :smoker2:
First off this is my first time trying to cap so I don't recommend talling me as of yet :)

I'm gonna start things with a few props.

Vancouver Canucks over 95.5 points -130 (The Greek) 2.5 units

They got 100 points last year. I see them winning their conference again this year. I think they should go over this total. Pretty much same team that they had last year.

Ottawa Senators over 84.5 points -110 (The Greek) 2 units

With the Dany Heatley saga being over I think is great for them. They got a goalkeeper who is supposed to help them greatly. They had 83 points last year with a worst team I think. The only thing that worries me a little is the defense. I'm not sure they make the playoff but 85 points seem pretty doable.

Columbus Blue Jackets over 87.5 -110 (The Greek) 2 units

They didn't lose anything important this offseason. They had 92 points last year. I can't see them not doing it again this year. They are in a very tough division but still can't see them not making the playoffs.

Thanks... Only 36 hours before regular season starts can't wait!!!

Little worry about many (or any) of our regulars "tailing you" per se.

The core group of about 12 to 15 pucks cappers all share pretty strong egos - for better or worse.

And thus we'll all hit the ground tomorrow with full confidence that "we" will be beating the Man more nights than not. And even if we're mistaken, we'll persist until at least January before seeking Help....heh

wow...just looked up Moncton....You are WAY up and out there on the North American map. Always wondered where I would end up if I got on I95 down here in Florida and just drove north without stopping. Now I know.

adding a few things

Thanks barman, yeah Moncton is kinda small... I'm not eaven sure fellow Canadian's would know where I am. But sources tell me it's one of the only cities that the population is growing fastest east of Toronto in Canada. Plus, I'm getting a casino sometime next year which is supposed to be the bomb. My main income is poker so I can't wait for this :).

Ok now let's add on a few things, first a few more props

Boston Bruins over 102.5 points -130 (The Greek) 2 units

They were on top of the eastern conference last year and I don't see this changing. They have so much talent on the top three lines of that team. I think they win the eastern again this year and most importantly I think they crush this line :)

Philadelphia Fliers Under 103.5 points - 125 (The Greek) 2 Units

I can't understand how this team's total can be this high when they have Emery as their starting goalie. This is a lot of pressure to put up on a goalkeeper who has been so awful in the nhl in the past.

Montreal Canadiens Under 92.5 points -110 (The Greek) 1 unit

I think the oddmakers know the Habs is one of the most popular team and they will be bet on pretty heavily. They have a new team and every fan is really excited about what this team MIGHT do on paper. I think this team is very overrated . They have one line that on paper looks very good. that's it!!! They are relying on a goaltender that has been awful last year. their secondary scoring is based on Plekanec and Kostitsyn. I think they are very overrated just because they are in Montreal. I can't see them making the playoff.

And for the season opener I'm going with

San Jose Sharks -170 ( The Greek) To win 1 unit

I was expecting a higher line. Colorado is in a rebuilding mode and San Jose has a great team once again. I think this is a great bet.

Cheers for a good season

Adding a few

1/2 unit on MTL Tor over 6 - 106

The over went a lot last year with these 2 teams and MTL's defense and goaltending have big question marks written all over them.

1/2 unit on SJ -1.5 +188

Today 2-1 +1 unit
YTD 3-3
- 0.7 units

Tomorrows games so far

San Jose Sharks to win OT included -115, 2 units

San Jose should come ready for tomorrow's game. They were awful yesterday and it shoudn't happen two games in a row.

SJ/Ana UNDER 5.5 goals , 1 unit
These team usually play low scoring games and I think the Sharks defense will be ready tomorrow

Chicago Blackhawks to win OT included -135 , 1 Unit
They outplayed Florida pretty badly today, I don't see them changing for tomorrow

All my plays are to risk amount. If I play a + play its always the base amount

Good Luck might have more tomorrow

I only have one play for Monday.

New Jersey Devils to win -120, Risking 1 unit

I think Brodeur and the Devils should be fired up for this game and the Rangers are playing 3rd game in 4 nights.
Fun facts :
Lundqvist allowed 13 goals in 3 games in New Jersey last year. Jacques Lemaire is one win away from 200 career wins as the Devils coach. Devils haven't started a season 0-2 since 2001 - 2002. Brodeur has a 2.17 GAA versus New York since the start of the 2007-08 season.

So basically there's alot of reason why I like the Devils tomorrow.

Good luck !

I'm passing on the games today. I should have jumped on Phx +190 yesterday night but didtn ... line is now down to +170. I now think that's reasonable. So no play I guess

Total is now down to 97.5 and I think that's a pretty solid beginning considering they've played a pair of back to back road games and then the Caps at home. Firing on all cylinders, this team may not have to key on Emery quite as often as you may have thought when you made this wager. Barring serious injuries, this high flying offense can win games on its' own and I think Emery, from what he's shown in the first three games, will be in tact to carry his weight when needed. Good luck but I think this bet will lose whatever weight you placed on it in the end.
