No chance at title game unless Oregon runs the table.

I've did the calculations and Boise State would have no chance considering their remaining schedule, and just as importantly, who the other top 20 teams in the country play.

They would finish 3rd and probably 4th in the BCS standings.

Watching them last night eliminated any chance they should make it.

It all comes down to the polls. The polls carry the most weight. Also, don't foget, you can already put them 3rd in the polls as LSU, Bama, Floria, 2 of those 3 will be bounced.

:ohno:

First off, the computers(one third of the measurement) will have no chance of having them in their top two with another Oregon loss.

SECONDLY AND TO ADDRESS YOUR POST, the HARRIS POLL AND COACHES POLL WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE TEAM WITH ONE LOSS RANKED AHEAD OF BOISE STATE BECAUSE OF THEIR SCHEDULE........RATHER THAT IS RIGHT OR WRONG OR NOT!!

Again, Boise State has absolutely NO CHANCE at a title game unless Oregon runs the table and that would give them a tiny chance............MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.........trust me, I know how the BCS works and what I'm saying is 100% fact!

What a great system !! Another undefeated season and they will get regulated to a Consolation bowl AGAIN. Too bad the we can't have 4 BCS games as quarterfinal games instead of exhibition games as they are now. That way we won't have the inevitable silly arguments on whether they belong in the game or not. If Coll Hoops adopted this back in the day, I guess UNLV wouldn't have been able to make their run out of a shitty conference themselves. Yeah I know, I know, the regular season means more in this sport. But does it ? How do you have undefeated seasons and it really doesn't mean anything because you can't play for the top prize.? BTW Oregon might just run the table !!

Actually Red Eye.........I would be in favor of a FINAL FOUR playoff AFTER the bowl games are concluded...........in fact, I'm in talk currently with two high NCAA officials suggesting this.

This is the proposal I have made to both of them...................i really like my idea!!!!

Stay tuned, as I think this has a 40-60 chance of happening by the 2012 season..............:103631605

If it does, it will probably be my greatest gift to the world as a human being.

I watched the Boise game last night. If that is one of the best 2 teams in the nation, then they really need to blow up the system tomorrow. Boise will not any recognizion until they start scheduling OOC teams on the road. Utah last season had a far better argument for playing in the BCS championship game than Boise does this season because of the SOS in the conference.

Bosie doesn't belong in a final four at this time either.

The Final four has a 1% chance of happening the next couple of years. The Big 10 will nix it in a second. They should also.

I use to be in favor of 16 teams, but after thinking about it and discussing it with kermit, I thought 8 teams would be perfect. Why after the bowls ? Keep the bowls but make all 4 BCS games on January 1st like the old days as quarterfinal games. Your playing the games anyway ! Have the 6 BCS conference winners in so that the season still means something. The 2 at large teams added just like they are now for current BCS games. Your only adding 3 more games that way to the season. 2 semi's and the Championship game

As a BIG TEN supporter, this is why this has a chance of happening, as I'm actually fighting the Big Ten on this as one of the BIG TENS biggest supporters..............

part of the problem is getting BCS schools to schedule them. Why get penalized for this ? Not every team is playing their A game week to week. We see that every year with even the tops teams

This is what they should do, but it is a huge disadvantage for the Big 10, and a huge advantage to the SEC, ACC and Big 12.

The BOWLS will remain the same simply because of the MONEY FACTOR.

The FINAL FOUR will be played at ONE SITE each year, revolving around 4-5 different venues.............some of which would be in northern locations!!!

Big 10 winner would get a automatic bid, why would that be a disadvantage ?

Believe me, there are teams who will play them. They will not go to Boise to play however. I would love to see them play at Michigan (voting Boise of course), Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc. these teams have scheduled well OOC in the past.

Like I said nobody here is advocating to eliminating the bowls, Just make the current BCS Bowls as the quarterfinal games. Thats not eliminating them, its making them worth watching now, because now they would have meaning.

Because they always play in an SEC, Big 12, or PAC 10 stadium. Huge HF advantage for the other team. Big 10 needs to be proactive and get games at Indy, Ford Field, the Metrodome, etc. This is the main reason they are against the playoff.

I don't have a problem with that. They would get their ass kicked in those stadiums too !! @):)

boise doesnt belong above texas/lsu/bama/florida anyways...

all boise needs to do is keep on winning and let the rest knock each other off...they need the big guys to all have a loss OR 2 which would make their case ironclad...
