Minny has been on fire and Det is obviously going to be the tighter of the two teams.:smoking: Kicking themselves the whole way to Minny, the dome will be as loud as ever in maybe the last game ever there.. Who starts for the teams? Porcello for Det? Duensing for Minny or Baker? I'm excited to have one more reg season game to bet on.@):)

Why do they play in Minny?

Anyway I say Minny and if they get to the playoffs I see them going beyond the first round.

Imagine how good that Twins offense would be looking if Morneau was healthy.

I'm pretty sure because Minnesota won the season series vs Detroit, So they host the playoff game.

I really hope Twins win it. At one point it looked like nobody in that division would catch the Tigers. They deserve to lose.

I like Twins 4-2 - hotter team / better pitcher & with a big homefield advantage

Minnesota looks way too obvious for the reasoning above

Porcello has all the potential to come in and pitch lights out, and the Tigers lineup could easily put up 3-5 runs against Baker who has a career ERA of over 4 against them.

Will it happen? I don't know, but Detroit at +145 to +160 will definitely look inviting, especially considering the majority of the money will be on Minnesota

Gonna be tough for them to advance, should they win tomorrow night. They are gonna roll out their best SP (Baker), and have all hands on deck. Should they win, they would play in New York roughly 20 hours later. Not only is a letdown situation, but it's a lot of travel, a less than rested bullpen, and against the best team in league.

Not saying they can't do it, because they have shown over the last month that they can make a big run. However, it is definitely stacked up against whatever team advances.

I believe that the Twins have a good chance against the Yankees if they advance. If the Tigers make it they'll be gone in the first round.

Momentum counts for a lot and the Twins have a lot of it right now.

Coin toss several weeks ago.

the game is not decided because of a coin toss like it was last year. mlb realized how dumb it was last year and changed the rule. minnesota beat the tigers in the season series so they have the home field advantage

Hard to back a rookie that has "potential" but in reality is 0-2 at MN giving up 7 runs in 10 innings along with a Tiger line-up that's 2-7 at MN this year and "slumping" at present versus Minny's top pitcher the second half at 12-4 and an offense that firing on all cylinders from 1 thru 9, so that's why you will see +150 maybe +155. The extra day off favors Detroit in this game I think just to regroup and "cools" Minny down a bit. I still look for Minny to win it in a close low scoring game.
